Additionally, it would make it easier to place the beneficiaries in the company and other relevant institutions during their national service.
Partner
Ms. Amoah added during the ceremony that the Ministry of Education wrote to BOST on December 9, 2021, asking for a partnership to grant the scholarships.
"BOST responded positively in line with its corporate social responsibility policy on education but insisted that such sponsorship from the company should go directly to its impacted communities in the country," she stated.
According to the spokesperson, the Kpone and Shai Osudoku districts in the Greater Accra Region, the Kaasi Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region, the Central Gonja District in the Savanna Region, the Savelugu District in the Northern Region, the West Mamprugu District in the North East Region, and the Bolgatanga municipality in the Upper East Region were all affected areas.
According to Ms. Amoah, the areas of health, education, environmental preservation, and poverty reduction were the focus of BOST's CSR program.
She explained that the company's CSR goals were to give back to the areas in which it worked in a variety of ways by identifying social and developmental gaps and acting as a driving force in the neighborhood.
Activity In response, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, minister of education, said the occasion was emotional for him since it realized his ambition of providing opportunities for young people from underprivileged backgrounds.
The BOST Managing Director was thanked, and he said, "I am excited to be here; I am excited to know that dreams can come true."
After being appointed minister of education, Dr. Adutwum stated that he was certain that the nation needed to make sure that every child had access to second-cycle education, regardless of where they lived.
