On Sunday, the Cottagers play Manchester City.
Although Fulham will aim to put a strong finish on what has been an impressive season, manager Marco Silva is already considering how to build on it.
Despite a run of five losses in their last seven games, the Cottagers' hopes of qualifying for Europe have vanished, but their first season back in the Premier League has still exceeded all expectations.
Before another significant summer, they have six games left, beginning with Sunday's visit from Manchester City.
"I can tell you that we have the big plan for the next season already there, and we're on track," Silva said to skysports.com.
"This season was one of the most significant seasons for Fulham Football Club thus far because, after the club's underwhelming performances in the previous two Premier League campaigns, which occurred for a variety of reasons, and I don't want to be unfair because I wasn't present, this season was essential for the club to maintain its place in the Premier League.
"We're doing it, and we're doing it by playing good, developing our players, and winning over our supporters.
We are developing the tempo and foundation for the upcoming season as well. Because we need to start keeping this club in the Premier League for everyone to recognize Fulham as a Premier League club, next season will likely be even more crucial than this one.
"I think it's where the club belongs, and for that to happen season after season, we have to do the right things on and off the field, and we have to show the ambition to compete with all the clubs like we've been doing on the field, but at the same time off the field as well."
At the beginning of July, Silva will mark two years in charge at Craven Cottage. He is aware that Fulham's achievements this year have increased the bar for future campaigns.
However, he does not seem to mind that, saying: "Our fans have different expectations, and it's a good sign they raise their expectations.
