Manchester United are gradually adapting to the system of current manager Erik ten Hag. The team has undergone many changes since the Dutch owner arrived in the summer of 2022.
Ahead of the season, the Red Devils said goodbye to Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba and Tahith Chong. They loaned Alex Telles, Dean Henderson, Amad Diallo and Eric Bailly.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag welcomed several new players in the summer transfer window to improve the squad:
Antony, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia and Martin Dubravka. Manchester United have decided to part ways with club star Cristiano Ronaldo during the current 2022/23 campaign following the Portuguese's exclusive interview with Piers Morgan.
After the departure of No 7, United are now looking for a top striker to replace the 27-year-old. Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane is on the club's wish list for the role. There could also be other transfers as Ten Hag plans to turn things around at Old Trafford.
