West Brom finished a challenging week by defeating Norwich 2-1 at The Hawthorns after coming from behind. Carlos Corberan applauded West Brom's tenacity in maintaining their play-off hopes.

Josh Sargent gave the visitors the lead in the 41st minute, but Conor Townsend equalized with a beautiful free-kick just before halftime, and Jed Wallace scored the game-winning goal in the 56th to give the Baggies hope as they traveled to Swansea on the final day of the regular Championship season.

Corberan commented, "Considering the physical challenge, I was very pleased." "The team we were playing against had a week to prepare for this. They hadn't played since last Saturday, and there weren't many reasons to switch up the lineup on Sunday, Wednesday, or today.I must give credit to the players because of the effort they put forth.

They are a formidable squad, but we gave us decent chances. They had a smooth transition when they got past our initial press, which is how they were able to score. They made the game dangerous, but it's also true that, had you looked at the first half, we might have won 2-1 or 3-2 because both teams had excellent opportunities.

The guys invested a lot of effort and passion. I am unable to claim that the performance and three points were the result of any tactical planning since they weren't. The outcome was the product of the players' high level of effort, dedication, and resolve.

Sargent's low strike into the goal after Dimitris Giannoulis' pass was whisked into his path gave Norwich the lead.

After Karlan Grant was brought down on the edge of the area, Townsend curled home a free kick for West Brom as a quick response.

After the break, they finished the turnaround when Townsend was set free on the overlap by superb work from Brandon Thomas-Asante down the left, and Wallace converted Wallace's low pass at the back post.

The loss destroyed Norwich's slim top-six chances, and manager David Wagner is looking forward to a summer of change at Carrow Road when his team plays relegated Blackpool in their final match of the year.

"We've been planning for a few weeks, and the plans are completely independent from the division," he said.
