“Ibou Konate will be back, Naby will train” | Jurgen Klopp provides Liverpool injury updates
Liverpool's recent string of consistent victories in the Premier League has come at a pivotal time in the season, as they continue to battle for a top-four finish. On Sunday, they are set to face Tottenham Hotspur, who are also competing for European football. Despite the match being crucial, Jürgen Klopp is dealing with a few injury concerns ahead of the game.
Thankfully, the situation is not as dire as it was a few weeks ago. Ibrahima Konaté, who missed the previous match against West Ham as a precautionary measure, is set to rejoin the squad. He could potentially start alongside Virgil van Dijk instead of Joël Matip.
Thiago Alcântara and Luis Díaz have returned to the matchday squads in recent games, albeit briefly from the substitutes' bench. Klopp may opt to grant both players their first start since their respective injuries.
Unfortunately, Roberto Firmino is still recovering from a muscle injury and is unlikely to be available for the Tottenham game. However, he could make a return to the pitch during the match against Fulham on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Calvin Ramsay and Stefan Baj?eti? are still out of action with long-term injuries.
Liverpool's main focus now is to maintain their winning streak and secure as many points as possible in their remaining games to increase their chances of finishing in the top four.
