Popular Nigerian musician, Mr Eazi has made a significant impact in the lives of students in Navrongo, Ghana, by funding the education of 1000 students at the C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS)
C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) is a tertiary institution which is the premier public university of the Upper East Region of Ghana established at Navrongo in the Kassena-Nankana District.
The school is dedicated to the well-being and success of their students, providing them with extraordinary experiences and networks that allow them to grow and develop, explore new interests, and fully realize their potential for successful careers in their chosen fields of study.
The news of Mr Eazi’s generous contribution was confirmed from Dr V.A. Ankamah-Lomotey (Ph.D.), the Registrar at the school in a letter. His letter expressed appreciation for Mr Eazi’s dedication to promoting higher education and improving economic mobility in the region.
Speaking on the scholarship fund, Mr Eazi stated his goal of funding for 1000 students through higher education.
Mr Eazi through the scheme has provided 282 students scholarships to cover either partial or full tuition fees in the first year of his project.
He believes that education is the backbone of regional transformation and a strong springboard for not only upward economic mobility but social mobility as well.
The CKT-UTAS management through its Registrar, Dr V. A. Ankamah-Lomotey, in his letter also expressed its gratitude to the Nigerian singer, stating that his contribution will go a long way in ensuring that more students can access quality education in Navrongo.
Mr Eazi’s contribution to CKT-UTAS has made a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, many of whom may not have had the financial means to pursue higher education. His philanthropy serves as an inspiration to others to invest in education and create opportunities for the next generation.
