A Nigerian police officer is going viral on social media after a disgraceful video was posted. In the video posted on the micro-blogging platform Twitter, a drunk Nigerian police officer was seen being dragged by his fellow officer after he messes up while he had his uniform on. In the video fast spreading online, his fellow officers who tried helping him were seen holding both of his hands and dragging him to a safe place so he could clean up, a civilian was heard repeatedly saying “This officer of the Nigerian police messed on himself”.

The video gathered a lot of reactions from users online and a few of them are highlighted below;

“No matter how you back this man with good comments and pity, he is an embarrassment to Nigerian police he doesn't deserve this uniform he is the architect of his downfall he is losing his job for this, gone are the days of this kind of police”.

@enascruz:

“This king of police would pull the trigger on innocent citizens without even knowing what he is done. This is so sad, you shouldn't be getting yourself drunk while on duty/uniform”.

@Jojo_Amandy

“As much as I share the same compassion as many of us calling out the reporter of this incident, someone like this should have no business with policing. How many more accidental deaths do you want us to deal with? Will you even be confident of reporting an incident to someone like this in the first place? Will you even be confident to have this person as a driver talk less about being in an institution that could grant him access to a gun? You complain about a bad policing system but bend when the standards are being questioned. What

exactly do we want? Normally, I'd fault the police recruitment standard/ process in the first place. The Police force is a highly sensitive institution that should have nothing but the best personnel and the highest recruitment standards. I'd rather you questioned the recruitment process that gave him the job in the first place than the reporter of this incident”.

@Flawles..•

“Honestly I'm not supporting or encouraging people to continue messing themselves up like this. But Mr Man after you've succeeded in making this man lose his job, either due to his negligence or due to other factors that must have put him in this state at first. What's ur gain??”.
