Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hit referee Paul Tierney after Sunday's win over Tottenham. The German claimed that the referee lied that he had no problem with him and his club.
Tierney refereed the dramatic encounter at Anfield. Liverpool saved a brilliant comeback from Spurs to win 4-3 thanks to a late Diogo Jota goal. Klopp was booked for his celebration after the winning goal but has now issued a harsh verdict on Tierney. He claims he has 'history' with the 42-year-old, who has previously insisted he has no problems with Liverpool or Klopp.
But Klopp suggested otherwise in a post-match rant. He told Sky Sports:
"How can they foul Mohamed Salah [before Spurs' third goal]? We have history with Tierney, I don't really know what he has against us, he said no problem. but that can't be true. "The way he looks at me, I don't understand. In the UK nobody has to clarify these situations, it's really complicated and confusing. My celebration was pointless, that's fair but what he did. he told me when he gave me the yellow card it was not good."

Liverpool lead 3-0 after only the first 15 minutes. Curtis Jones ended a fine striker Trent Alexander-Arnold to score his first goal of the season.
It was followed by two as Luis Diaz scored in his first game since October before Mohamed Salah scored three from the penalty spot. Spurs pulled back a goal before half-time thanks to Harry Kane as Liverpool turned complacent.
Ryan Mason's side attacked strongly and scored again thanks to Heung-min Son's work to shorten the gap to 1 goal when official time was 13 minutes. Richarlison then came on from the bench to score his first Spurs goal of the tournament in the 93rd minute when the visitors believed they had stolen a point.
But a big mistake by Lucas Moura allowed Jota to score. The Portuguese star calmly scored the 5th goal after 4 matches, bringing 3 full points for Klopp's army. Klopp explained how Spurs made it difficult for his side and admitted they were "free" with a win. I said:
"For a long time, the first half was the best we've played so far. The first half went well, we conceded a goal but this was the first time we didn't defend well. .
"Moreover, the first half went well. The problem is that Spurs didn't change anything, they made counter-attacks even though it was 3-1. They only know how to defend, counterattack and find fixed pieces that make it difficult.
"We succeeded thanks to Diogo Jota, it was spectacular and everyone was excited to go home, but I am the manager of the team so I also have to mention everything else. In the next three days we have to do better.
"They set up the defense but the way we started the game was fantastic, it was all there. It was almost perfect but it seemed to lead us in the wrong direction."
