Jurgen Klopp pulled his hamstring as he celebrated Diogo Jota's latest goal to seal Liverpool's 4-3 win over Tottenham. But Klopp was lucky not to be sent off after a completely unprofessional reaction to the goal.
When the ball hit the net, Klopp ecstatically ran towards the fourth referee and taunted him for pulling his hamstring in the process. Gary Neville said of the incident:
"It's malicious. Jurgen Klopp should have been sent off for what he did to the fourth referee, but as they say, he doesn't care. He lives on the edge.
Before adding:
"He needs treatment," as the Reds boss limped back to his bunker. It looks like Tottenham will suffer just as they did against Newcastle two weeks into the opening 25 minutes as they conceded three consecutive goals from Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah on penalties.
But a crucial first-half goal from Harry Kane moved the momentum in Spurs' favor. The captain had a brilliant volley after Christian Perisic's excellent slot, annoyed Virgil Van Djik, before sending the ball wide of his teammate.
Heung-Min Son was inspired by Pulisic and Kane with a neat finish in the 77th minute when the away team pressed the opponent. And in extra time, it seemed they had a point when Richarlison headed the equalizer in stoppage time.
But that's not the case. Diogo Jota broke Tottenham's heart when he took advantage of Lucas Moura's misplaced pass to hit the bottom corner of the goal.

"It's the best thing at Tottenham you've ever seen. Lucas Moura should just clear the pitch, he makes the most goalless passes inside. I don't know if it depends on the goalkeeper or Romero," Neville said in the comments section.
“But he got into that channel, Jota, and he pulled him into that far corner. Fraser Forster came out, maybe a bit far, but Jurgen Klopp - forgive Liverpool - but oh, he's going to be in a bit of trouble for that with the fourth referee, and he's hurt his hamstring!
