The Whites' season is going in the wrong direction, time is not on their side
Leeds United have broken their own unwanted Premier League record for goals conceded in a calendar month. Los Blancos scored 23 goals in the top flight in April, ending a bad month.
Javi Gracia's side have won just one win in seven games as they move closer and closer to the bottom three - picking up just four points out of their possible 21. As the month approaches, there is a lot of promise after beating Wolves and taking a point against top team Brighton at the end of March.
However, the tune was somewhat set with a 41 loss to Arsenal at Elland Road. The whites came back with a six-point win over Nottingham Forest, but have since failed.
Crystal Palace beat Los Blancos five times as they were beaten 5-1, with Liverpool winning 6-1 at Elland Road in the next game. Leeds somewhat tightened their defense against Fulham away, but they were beaten 1-2 by European rivals.
A 1-1 scoreline with Leicester City helped Leeds maintain their gap with the Foxes, but a 4-1 loss to Vitality meant the Whites had the worst defensive record in the league. In February last season, Leeds conceded 20 goals, which is the worst number of goals conceded in a calendar month. The Whites also broke the record for most goals scored in a calendar month by a top English team since Newcastle in April 1986, conceding 21 goals.
