Some of the schools that some popular media practitioners attended will shock you as you enjoy getting to know them, maybe they went to your former school and you did not know.


Lexis Bill - PRESEC.


Lexis Bill is a radio and TV host and businessman. He is the host of Drive Time.


He is the son of Mr and Mrs. Wilhemina Animwaah and hails from Abompe in the Eastern Region. He is the firstborn among 3 siblings.


After completing his basic education at PRESEC-Legon, he went to the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School for his secondary education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Lexis received her masters degree in business administration from the GIMPA.


The Accra Academy- Bola Ray.


Bola Ray is a radio and television personality and the CEO of Empire Entertainment, a media conglomerate.

Gladys Adisi gave birth to Bola Ray. He obtained a diploma in public administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Ghana. In 2015, he graduated with an MBA in Global Business and Sustainability from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan (ALTIS) and the Catholic Institute of Business and Technology (CIBT).


 Nana Aba Anamoah-National


A graduate of the University of Ghana Business School, Nana Aba Anamoah is currently working in Development Finance. She's taken up Executive Education courses including one in 21st Century Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School (Harvard University).

She is a role model for most young female broadcasters because she is a popular Ghanaian Media personality. She is the general manager of the two radio stations. She is an ambassador for football. Anamoah is on the committee of the premier league. Manchester United and the Great Olympics are both supported by her.



Johnnie Hughes-HOTCASS


His father took him to a different school to pursue his dream course after he was offered visual arts at the Broadcasters dream school. He was offered Pure Science when he was at Holy Trinity Cathedral Senior High School. He was very vocal at HOTCASS and an SRC representative for forms 1 and 2. He was part of the winning debate team and was chosen as Compound Prefect.

He holds certifications from The Institute of Commercial Management in the UK in journalism and media studies and is a graduate of GIJ.

Johnnie Hughes was the top participant in the British Councils Master Class for Producers and Presenters for Radio and Television, where he graduated.


He works for a media General. 



Nana Ama McBrown- Kwadaso L.A .J.S.S


Felicity Ama Agyemang popularly known as 'Nana Ama McBrown'. She rose to prominence for her role in a number of television series in Ghana. When she moved to Media General, she was the host of McBrown Kitchen and United Showbiz.

McBrown's parents divorced when she was a young child.

After attending St. Peters International Residential School, McBrown attended Minnesota International and then Central International. She couldn't sit for the Basic Education Certificate exams because she dropped out. McBrown obtained a secretarial certificate when she attended the College of Business.



Abeiku Santana – National & GHANASS


Abeiku Santana, popularly known as Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, is a businessman and media figure from Ghana. Additionally, he serves as the CEO of Ghanaian tour operator Kaya Tours Ghana Limited.

Born in Koforidua in Ghana Eastern Region, he began his basic schooling there at Nana Kwaku Boateng Experimental School before continuing his studies at Ghana National College, Cape Coast, where he earned his Ordinary Level diploma. For his Advanced level Certificate, he afterwards attended Ghana Senior High School in Koforidua. He graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a Master's in Tourism Management and a Post Graduate in Public

Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, a certificate in advanced public relations and advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, and an associate's degree in legal studies and litigation from the New York Paralegal School.



Santana received a second master's degree from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) after graduating.


He collaborates with the Okay platform of the Despite Group of companies.



Serwaa Amihere – Yaa Asantewaa


GHOne TV now employs Serwaa Amihere, a Ghanaian broadcast journalist and newscaster. At the 2018 Radio and Television Personality Awards, she took home the Television Female Newscaster of the Year Award. She began her career as a producer for Nana Aba Anamoah's award-winning current affairs program State of Affairs. Weekdays on GH One TV, she is the host of GH Today.

Frank Yeboah and Lydia Tetteh's firstborn child, Serwaa, was born on March 8, 1990. She attended Methodist University College in Ghana and graduated from Yaa Asantewaa Secondary School. She studied banking and finance there.



Kwami Sefa Kayi – OKWASS


Chairman General, also known as Kwami Sefa Kayi, attended the Okuapeman Secondary School in Akropong Akuapem while he was a student. Additionally, he graduated from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC)'s Executive Master of Arts in Conflict, Peace and Security (EMCPS) program in 2018.

He is regarded as one of Ghana's top media figures, broadcast journalists, and public speakers. He presently hosts the morning program known as "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM.
