The 2022/2023 English Premier League is only 4 weeks away from the end of the season. This means that most clubs are doing their best to qualify for European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.

Manchester City's 1-2 win over Fulham in the 34th round of the Premier League made them the second club to qualify for the UEFA Champions League 2023/2024. The Citizens top the EPL table with 76 points and a goal difference of +53, followed by Arsenal with 75 points and a goal difference of +40.

This means there are only two spots left for clubs interested in competing in next season's UEFA Champions League. FiveThirtyEight has released a new prediction of the favorites that will end up in the top 4.

Newcastle United 95% luck according to the new president They are third in the EPL with 65 points. They won 3-1 against Southampton in the match in the 34th round of the Premier League last weekend.

Manchester United have a 91% chance of breaking into the top four of the Premier League. The Red Devils are 4th in the Premier League table with 63 points. They won 1-0 against Aston Villa in the match in Round 34 of the EPL.

Manchester United are considering a move for Sweden international Leopold Wahlstedt.

Manchester United's senior scout in Scandinavia has been tracked by Sweden international Leopold Wahlstedt, The Mail reports.

Wahlstedt is a 23-year-old goalkeeper who made his international debut for Sweden earlier this year.

Other Premier League sides are also said to be showing interest in the 1.60m tall goalkeeper, who is seen as a rising star.

Who is Leopold Wahlstedt?

Leopold Wahlstedt plays for Norwegian side Odds BK, signing with the club in 2021. He has been in impressive form for the top team, with four clean sheets in four appearances so far this season.

Curiously, Wahlstedt's contract at Odds ends in December. This could see Manchester United move in for him for a very low price.

It's unclear if Wahlstedt is being evaluated for a potential number one role or just a backup.

Manchester United need both, with Tom Heaton's contract expiring and Jack Butland set to sign for Rangers once his loan expires, the Scottish Sun reports. David de Gea's situation in goal remains unclear as his contract is about to expire. Negotiations are said to be underway over his future.

United are also tracking number one Croatian, Dominik Livakovic

Wahstedt can be a convenient, low-cost supplement. United could potentially get him for under £5m. He will help keep the club's goalkeeping department young and competitive whether he is the only addition or not.
