Frank Lampard has been accused of attacking his own club, as Chelsea prepare to face London rivals Arsenal, as he hails the Premier League title hunters.

A return to Stamford Bridge has not been a particularly joyful one for Lampard, who has lost his first five games since returning as caretaker manager.

Surely no one would have expected him to return at some point until his return, that's how he left for the first time and his form at Everton.

Some fans have called for him to quit, following the loss to Brentford, a match that Thomas Frank said was decided before the game even started.

However, the club's all-time top goalscorer believes managers should spend more time at Stamford Bridge and appear to tackle the Blues, as you can see in the video below. Speaking ahead of the game against Arsenal, the 44-year-old compared his preference to sack his club's coach to the Gunners remaining at Arteta.

"It's interesting to compare," said the former England star, "We've all caught a glimpse of Arsenal through the Amazon series.

"There was a long process to getting where you wanted to be and I remember playing with Mikel's first teams, sometimes five, sometimes four. Now you see they have a clear identity.

"If we talk about it like this season, you have to go back to tough times. "I've seen times when a manager is questioned and that process can take two or three years. Another club might have changed managers two or three times."

And some fans thought it was too much, "Fire him immediately, no one insults our owner," one fan said.

"Lampard thinks he has earned the right to be Conte after five consecutive defeats," another added.

Adding the interim boss's time at Goodison Park to his poor form, another supporter noted: "This man has had 5 points in his last 20 (Twenty) Premier League games. League. This is an all-time relegation record."

"This guy is absolutely not so he said we have to wait two to three years, BS," argued a fourth fan.

Another asked: "Has this guy ever taken responsibility in his management career? He wants to learn on the job with a top team and get better pay."

And one Friday commenter simply said: "Dude, we're not with you, so get out!"

Under Roman Abramovich, the decision to regularly fire managers cannot really be discussed after the success of the Blues.

However, Todd Boehly's decision to fire Thomas Tuchel did not seem so wise and he did not have a replacement for Potter.

Lampard can no longer really claim a backing coach, however, after defeats to Derby, Everton and Chelsea.
