Arsenal have long been known as a club that develops brilliant young players as one has seen over the past two decades, but now it is reported that they have lost a big player.
Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino will leave the club this summer in search of a regular first-team start. The 19-year-old midfielder spent a season on loan at Blackpool, where he impressed despite the club's relegation from the Championship.
Patino joined Arsenal from Luton Town at the age of 11 and is considered one of the club's most promising talents in recent years. He signed a professional contract with the Gunners in 2020 and made two appearances for the club. SWINDON, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 07:

However, with Arsenal going through a transition of power under Mikel Arteta, Patino is unlikely to have the opportunity to play regularly in the near future. So he expressed a desire to leave permanently rather than return on loan.
According to a source from The Athletic, Arsenal have accepted Patino's wishes and are ready to facilitate his departure. Clubs in the UK and abroad are known to be interested in Patino, with several teams monitoring his progress at Blackpool. Patino's departure will be a blow to Arsenal supporters who had hoped to see him become a key player for the club. However, it is important for young players like Patino to play regularly if they want to reach their full potential.
Arsenal are used to producing talented young players who will find success elsewhere. The likes of Serge Gnabry, Alex Iwobi and Jeff Reine-Adélaïde have all left Arsenal in recent years and started careers at other clubs.
Where Patino will end up next season remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that he has the talent and potential to succeed at the highest level. With Arsenal's backing, he will now look for a new challenge elsewhere as he looks to make his mark in professional football.
