There were lots of rails stolen in that area and this is the the first time people have been caught in the act. A video made by these thieves caused thier arrest.The rail, which is said to be worth thousands of Ghanaian cedis, was reportedly stolen from a railway construction site.
The suspects were arrested after the police received a tip-off from a concerned citizen. The police then intercepted the vehicle and found the rail, along with some tools and equipment that were allegedly used in the theft.
The suspects have been identified as Kwame Boahene, Emmanuel Obeng, and Samuel Asiedu. They have been charged with stealing and are currently in police custody awaiting trial.
