Jurgen Klopp could be banned by the FA for his reaction to Liverpool's winner against Spurs and has now offered his views on the incident and the ongoing investigation.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp 'hopes' the FA will turn him down amid their investigation into his confrontation with Paul Tierney.
The German was at the center of a controversial incident with the referee following Sunday's dramatic late win over Tottenham at Anfield. He celebrated wildly in front of fourth referee John Brooks, as he had some words of choice for referee Paul Tierney as the final whistle blew.
He was cautioned during the game for his recidivism after allegedly fouling Liverpool star Mo Salah. Since then, it has been reported that the FA is preparing to open an investigation into the incident. Klopp could face another FA ban if he is found guilty of crossing the line. He suggests he is expecting a potential suspension after being banned for a similar situation with Manchester City earlier in the campaign.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the match against Fulham on Wednesday, Klopp said:
"What's happening now is not in my hands. We won a football game 4-3 spectacularly and all the big trophies we've won have been created by me. I really regret that. It's not necessary and not how.
"We are waiting for a reaction because everyone is telling us that something is going to happen. But we have not received a response from the FA or the referees.

"I should probably expect a penalty. I think the referees thought I questioned the integrity. When I sit here, when I'm quiet, I don't do that. Of course not. But at that time, I just described my feelings.
"Strangely, the red card I received against Man City was almost in the same position, the same player, Mo Salah involved. Then it was a clear foul by Bernardo Silva. But it must not whistle. We'll have to wait and see what they come back with."
While acknowledging he was likely to face the consequences, Klopp expressed regret over the incident.
He added:
"The whole situation shouldn't have happened. It was out of emotion and anger.
"That's why I celebrated the way I did. There was a situation where Mo [Salah] didn't commit a foul. It happened right in front of my eyes. Then their target. A minute later we scored, it should have been a happy moment, but unfortunately I'm still a bit angry."
A decision that looks unlikely to be made in time for Liverpool's clash with Fulham on Wednesday means Klopp will be sidelined anyway. It could be an entirely different matter for this weekend's game against Brentford at Anfield.
