Pep Guardiola provides Manchester City duo injury update ahead of Real Madrid matches

Before a crucial few weeks of the season, Real Madrid had to deal with injury problems. David Alaba and Ferland Mendy have left, and they have been joined in recent days by Luka Modric and Federico Valverde.

It remains to be seen whether they will all be ready for the games against Osasuna and Manchester City in the next seven days, but then it seems they have their own injury issues to worry about.

The news broke on Sunday about Kevin De Bruyne's injury, and speaking on Tuesday (via Diario AS), Pep Guardiola gave an update on the Belgian midfielder's fitness, as well as his post-match performance. Protector Nathan Ake.

“Nathan (Ake) trained with us yesterday, he feels very good. Kevin (de Bruyne) started moving but did not practice with the team. We have training in a couple of hours and we'll see.

De Bruyne has been in impressive form for City in recent weeks, and his absence from the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid will be a big boost for the defending champions.

According to Sky Deutschland, Ajax have a price in mind if they decide to sell Manchester United and Liverpool target Jurrien Timber this summer.

Timber has indicated he is open to leaving Ajax in the next transfer window and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag wanted him to go to Manchester United last summer but Louis van Gaal discouraged him from leaving Ajax ahead of the World Cup.

Ten Hag remains interested, but Manchester United face competition from rivals Liverpool, who are eyeing a rebuild in the summer.

Ajax want to keep the defender at the club next season if possible. However, they are aware of an interest in Timber and the defender is ready to leave.

And it is reported that Ajax want around 50 million euros before they agree to sell the player this summer.

The Dutch giants do not have any specific offers but Timber is keen to move to a bigger club in the coming months.

Ajax are a best-selling club and if their valuations are respected, they are unlikely to stand in the way of the Dutchman.
