A tech summit titled "Perspectives on Fintech in Ghana" has been arranged by the law firms TEMPLARS and Clifford Chance in Accra, bringing together important participants and stakeholders to discuss the fintech ecosystem, including rules, innovation, and investments, in Ghana.
It followed the recent Perspectives on Fintech in Nigeria conference held in Lagos.
John Humphrey, the British Trade Commissioner for Africa, as well as officials from the British High Commission and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, senior Zenith Bank executives, investors, venture capitalists, fintech entrepreneurs, academics, researchers, and industry consultants, all attended the summit.

The Head of the Fintech and Innovation Office at the Bank of Ghana, Kwame Oppong, stated that the Bank of Ghana has put in place rules to safeguard local fintech businesses and support their expansion at the panel discussion on Legal and Regulatory Trends in the Ghanaian Fintech Market.
He continued by saying that the Bank of Ghana was making every effort to help all participants in the fintech sector promote growth.
