After Arsenal vs. Chelsea, Mikel Arteta provides an injury update for Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba.

When Arsenal defeated Chelsea 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, Rob Holding took Gabriel Magalhaes' place after he had undergone injury treatment.

Mikel Arteta has revealed Gabriel Magalhaes is a "big concern" ahead of Arsenal's huge Premier League clash against Newcastle this weekend. The Arsenal manager continued by saying that he "doesn't know" if William Saliba would be eligible for selection for the Sunday afternoon trip to St. James' Park.

During the victory over Frank Lampard's team, Gabriel collapsed on the field three times with various issues before Arteta eventually replaced him.. The Gunners have yet another huge game on the horizon at Newcastle following their win against Chelsea after they moved back to the top of the Premier League table last night.

Speaking after the game, Arteta admitted Gabriel's injury problems during the match are 'a big concern'. "He [Gabriel] tried for 10 to 15 minutes and he couldn't carry on - a big concern," the Gunners boss said.

During his post-match interview with Sky Sports, Arteta was asked whether Saliba will be available for the trip to Tyneside this weekend. The Spaniard replied with a smile: "I don't know."

The absence of both of Arsenal's starting center backs could force Kiwior and Holding to play together in the back. This would be a major setback for Arteta and the Gunners as they battle Eddie Howe's high-flying team, who have virtually locked themselves a Champions League spot for next season, for the Premier League crown.

Guehi shows up, Declan Rice signs, Moises Caicedo joins: A realistic transfer scenario for Arsenal, arsenal recently lost against Manchester City who are the current league leaders just one piont above above with 2 matches in hand, since meant they had lost the race for the premier league a win like this will help improve the players mentality .
