In the Eastern Region's Okere District, a small agricultural town called Amanfrom has a new chief: Nana Tete Odwo-Kwao III.
A 35-year-old businessman from his community known as Nana Odwo-Kwao—Daniel Tete in his personal life—is a leader and community builder who is courageous, fearless, and self-assured.
He replaces Nana Odwo-Kwao II, who is aging and has been ill for a long time, making it impossible for him to carry out his customary obligations as expected.
Before the Abusuapanin, Robert Agyiri Mantey, the local chiefs, and the populace, Nana Tete Odwo-Kwao swore the oath of loyalty.
The Abusuapanin instructed the newly appointed chief to diligently serve the town's residents.
Lord Mr. Mantey urged the new chief to respect all members of the community and pleaded with them to help him realize his goal of growing the town.
He exhorted him to endeavor to advance harmony and peace for the town's growth.
The new chief was congratulated by the Abusuapanin on his appointment.
After the occasion, Nana Addo Boadu Ababio II, a prominent figure in Amanfrom, had a press conference and said that Nana Odwo-Kwao had been unwell and was thus unable to continue serving as the region's chief.
The incapacitated chief consequently requested help from the town's elders and kingmakers in finding a replacement.
However, he was happy that a new chief had been appointed to carry on the good work of the previous one and make it possible for everyone in the town to live in peace.
Nana Ababio pleaded with the incoming chief to concentrate on advancing the region.
In the best interests of the Akuapem Traditional Area and all of Ghana, he pleaded with the new chief to uphold the stool and made an appeal to the kingmakers for assistance.
According to Kwabena Bekoe, the Asafoatse of Amanfrom, the town's main problems now are the absence of development and other social facilities.
But he had faith that Nana Tete Odwo Kwao III would rise to the occasion and handle everything.
According to Mr. Bekoe, the community is lacking a number of social facilities, including easy access to clean and safe drinking water, convenient locations, a market area, and a senior high school.
