Former Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was the player he feared the most during his playing years.
Rooney is widely regarded as one of the most talented and energetic strikers of his generation, terrorizing the Premier League's defences for more than a decade.
Cech, who has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, has hinted that a meeting between Rooney and former team-mate Michael Essien made him fear the England striker.

“Wayne Rooney,” he replied when asked who was the most difficult player he has faced in the Premier League. "It could have been Roy Keane but you know I'd pick Wayne Rooney because the only time I've seen Michael Essien bump into a player and fall, the only time in his entire career was when he collided with a player. Rooney." he added.
"He just popped out of him and we were like Oh, how did that happen?"
Cech and Essien won several trophies together during their time at Chelsea before the Ghanaian moved to AC Milan.
