The Saudi Arabian government is preparing a mega bid to lure Lionel Messi to the Saudi Pro League this summer, according to a report.

The forward is set to leave PSG at the end of the season, with his father, Jorge, reportedly informing French club of the decision a month ago.

It's unclear what his next destination will be, but the seven-time Ballon d'Or won't be short of suitors as he decides his next move.

According to a rumor, the Saudi Arabian government is organizing a massive effort to entice Lionel Messi to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

The forward is expected to depart PSG at the end of the current campaign, and according to reports, his father, Jorge, informed the French club of his intentions a month ago.

Although it's unclear where the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner will go next, he won't lack for suitors as he makes his decision.

With Ronaldo reportedly linked to Al-Hilal, it is speculated that Messi's pay in the league may be worth £320 million annually, nearly double the £165 million Ronaldo receives from Al-Nassr.

Prior to a prospective move after he becomes a free agent, it is believed that discussions with Messi and his father, who serves as the head of his group of representatives, are in progress.

Garry Cook, the former CEO of Manchester City, is rumored to be engaged in any future deal, with state involvement obvious.

Messi recently appeared for pictures with his wife Antonella in Saudi Arabia, where he had planned a trip for one of his professional obligations as a tourist ambassador.

The World Cup champion agreed to a £25 million contract with Saudi Arabia last year to serve as an ambassador for tourism.

After losing to Lorient 3-1 on Sunday, PSG players were supposed to have the day off on Monday. However, Christophe Galtier brought the team in for practice instead.

Messi was unable to turn around to attend training because he was already on his unauthorized vacation to Saudi Arabia.

The rush is on to get his signature because PSG has been seeking to extend his contract, but it is known that won't happen anymore.
