The Liverpool superstar converted his second penalty of the week in the 1-0 victory over Fulham after missing his previous two club-level attempts. He also converted one against Tottenham on Sunday.

In March and April, Salah missed vital penalties against Bournemouth and Arsenal, the latter of which was hammered horribly wide in front of the Kop end.

Speaking after the victory over Fulham, Klopp acknowledged that a candid discussion with Salah had assisted the attacker in overcoming his struggles with penalties.

He stated: "We spoke, and he wanted to continue taking penalties. About it, we had a typical conversation. "OK, yeah, you are," I responded. He stated, "I do not feel right in that moment because the pressure obviously increases with the penalties you miss." You do not feel fantastic right now, he added. Then Fab [Fabinho], Trent [Alexander-Arnold], or whoever is two and three, give the ball to them. However, at that point, he had already broken the destiny's puzzle or whatever it was once more and turned it around. This was a fairly straightforward penalty today, in my opinion. With all the goals Mo has scored, I believe we cannot simply dismiss it because of two missed opportunities.

He relishes these circumstances, but until he missed a penalty, we had gone about 28 games without one. Naturally, we have individuals trained for it, but that is a unique circumstance. "And you cannot recall any type of pedal and stuff like this. 28 games is like four years...it is forever. You go there and miss it; you may still complete it, but it does not feel good to have missed it. So, during this brief pause following the Arsenal penalty, we chat, you may shake it off, and then we move on. I firmly believe that is the proper course of action.

Throughout his illustrious Liverpool career, Salah has taken 31 penalties, scoring 26 and missing five.

The most well-known of those goals was unquestionably the one he scored in Liverpool's 2019 UEFA Champions League final victory over Tottenham, putting the Reds ahead after only two minutes.
