Brighton give Arsenal , Chelsea and Liverpool fresh Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister transfer update
Prior to the summer transfer window, Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo are two of the most sought-after midfielders in the Premier League. Both players have been linked to Chelsea and Arsenal, among other teams.
In light of the significant interest Moises Caicedo and Alexis MacAllister have already attracted, Brighton chief executive Paul Barber has provided an update on the club's summer recruitment strategy. Both of them have recently been strongly linked with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea as each side looks to strengthen their midfield..
Todd Boehly ultimately acquired his main target on deadline day, despite rumors to the contrary that the Blues were also preparing an offer for the Ecuadorian international in the event that they failed to land Enzo Fernandez. Caicedo extended his contract with Brighton in March, keeping him there through the year 2027.
Barber addressed the speculation around Caicedo and Mac Allister's futures during an interview with Sky Sports prior to the Seagulls' game against Manchester United. When we and our people succeed, there will inevitably be rumors, the Brighton chief said.
"Bigger clubs competing at a higher level will always be looking to take our best players, but all we can do is perform at our highest level, hopefully reach the highest position we've ever achieved in the Premier League, and we're confident we can keep our best players here for as long as possible."In football, though, nothing is ever assured, therefore we'll do everything in our power to keep the greatest employees on staff.
Barber was then asked if there is fear around the club about losing their best players. The 56-year-old replied: "First of all, we know it’s going to happen so we have to prepare for it as best as we can in advance.
"We try and bring more young players into the club, we try and look for where we’re potentially most vulnerable in terms of outgoings, and then we try to create the best possible environment we can for our own players so they want to stay here.
"For us that means playing at the highest level we can, pushing the youngsters to get into the first team, and giving them that opportunity to play at the highest level so hopefully they’ll see that staying here is better for their careers than not.
"I believe that every club these days is somewhat a selling club; even the largest clubs occasionally succumb to the temptation of extraordinary offers for their stars. Making sure we have players either through the door, which is our ideal position, or coming back very fast after them is our task when we do lose players. That's what we'll continue attempting to accomplish; we'll keep recruiting as we have and, ideally, create value for the club going forward.
Six additional players have been added to Chelsea's potential new 25-man roster for Mauricio Pochettino.
In light of Arsenal's awful performance, Mauricio Pochettino is given optimism for a £29 million deal to Chelsea.
