THE NEW PORSCHE TAYCAN WILL BE EVEN MORE POWERFUL AND LOOK EVEN BETTER.

A number of new spy shots have been released of the refreshed Porsche Taycan. These shots show the regular Taycan sedan, the Taycan Cross Turismo wagon, and a powerful range-topping Taycan that might get the Turbo GT badge. The progressions seen here ought to likewise apply to the Taycan Game Turismo.

Although they are all finished in black, the Cross Turismo's distinctive wagon shape and the Turbo GT's brand-new wing—if it is ever referred to as a Turbo GT—make it fairly simple to distinguish them.

The Taycan lineup has grown steadily since it was introduced for the 2020 model year, but the stylish design hasn't changed much except for a few new wheels. The refreshed Taycan has been seen before, and as we can see once more, Porsche isn't going to change a winning design much.

Similar to the lights on the updated Cayenne SUV, the new sedan will have updated headlight clusters with four bars for daytime running lights. Lower down, the front guard is not yet canvassed in camo, and those abnormal spaces on either side that we spotted beforehand remain.

These will most likely oblige haze lights, however, to the detriment of the pre-facelift model's tear-formed vents that got together with the headlights and gave the Taycan a particular face.

From the back, it's hard to detect a lot of contrast by any stretch of the imagination with the natural full-width lighting bar that remains very thin. The fact that these models did not bear the Porsche logo on the back is probably due to the fact that they are not production models.

The Cross Turismo's wheel arches are covered in black, one of the usual tough additions.

Software updates increased the Taycan's range, speeded up charging on some models, and improved the power output for the model year 2023. We anticipate further gains in these areas for the refreshed Taycan, but perhaps not all-new powertrains, at least not for the less expensive models, given the rate at which software can be improved.

The high-performance model, which could be called the Turbo GT, is more exciting. Porsche as of now sells the Taycan Super S, which has 750 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds, making it one of the fastest EVs on the planet. However, it's not yet a vehicle that's ideal for high-velocity bombardment along the Expressway in solace.

With its bizarre rear wing, altered side skirts, and large wheels, the Taycan spotted here appears to be an entirely different beast. This car appears to be one that will shatter expectations for what luxury four-door EVs can accomplish on a track. A similar hardcore Taycan was spotted last year with a roll cage and Recaro racing seats, so this car seems like it will do just that. Tales recommend a result of more than 1,000 hp as well, so it could out-speed the powerful Tesla Model S Plaid.

Porsche will in general invest a ton of energy in its models, so we don't expect the refreshed Taycan to make a big appearance before the end of this current year.
