There could be another top talent making his way out of Benfica in the summer as Cher Ndour is being monitored by multiple clubs including AC Milan.
Benfica have in recent years showcased an ability to continuously churn out talents from their youth sector, both by enhancing players purchased for a small amount or bringing through their own products.
According to what is being reported by Fabrizio Romano, Ndour is one to watch in the next few weeks as his contract is expiring in June and there is interest from multiple clubs, with Milan and also Juventus monitoring him. The 18-year-old midfielder will make a decision about his future soon.
Ndour began his football training at the youth academy of ASD San Giacomo and then moved to Brescia before joining the youth academy of their rivals Atalanta at the age of 9.
The Serie A side see the midfielder as an heir to 29-year-old French international Paul Pogba. They hope Brescia-born Ndour, 18, will want to join his idol, Pogba, in Turin at the end of the season.
It was back in July 2020 that he moved to Benfica, making his professional debut with Benfica B and his first appearance for Benfica’s senior team on 18 March this year in a 5-1 home victory over Vitória SC.
Mirror reports that English side Manchester United also want to sign Cher Ndour. "United are ready to battle with Juventus to land teenager Ndour, who is an Italian under-20 international. The Serie A side see the midfielder as an heir to 29-year-old French international Paul Pogba. They hope Brescia-born Ndour, 18, will want to join his idol, Pogba, in Turin at the end of the season."
He will add to that once against next month, should West Ham reach the final of the Europa Conference League and then win the competition.
By doing that, he would become the first player ever to have won the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League, eclipsing the achievements he completed alongside his former Chelsea teammates that included the likes of Mason Mount and N'Golo Kante.
One manager has won all three already, with Roma’s former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho completing that feat when winning the inaugural edition of the competition last season, with Roma beating Feyenoord in the final.
Now, Emerson will look to emulate Mourinho and become the first player to lift the new-look European trophy treble and West Ham are just three matches away from being able to do exactly that.
