The Whites fired Gracia on Wednesday, barely 10 weeks and 11 Premier League games after Jesse Marsch's replacement.

Former manager Javier Gracia said that while watching Saturday's match at Manchester City on television, he and his kids will be rooting for Leeds from Spain.

After being fired on Wednesday, just 10 weeks and 11 Premier League games after succeeding Jesse Marsch as head coach, Gracia has now returned to Malaga.

On the same day, Victor Orta, the football director, left Elland Road with everyone's approval.

With just four games left, Leeds has hired Sam Allardyce in a last-ditch effort to maintain top-flight status.

Gracia confirmed to The Athletic that he will attend the former England manager's inaugural game at the Etihad Stadium.

I'll be with my kids, who will be wearing Leeds jerseys and yelling "Up the Whites," according to Gracia.

The 53-year-old said he received a call from chairman Andrea Radrizzani on his birthday, Monday, informing him of Leeds' choice.

"It was a call to describe the circumstance. The club handled everything in the right way. That's it, I have to accept the owner of the club's choice," Gracia added.

"I can genuinely say that my time at Leeds has been a rewarding experience, and Victor Orta's human traits have made him a genuine pleasure to be around.

"It was one of the areas in my professional life when they helped me feel confident and at ease with who I am.

It's been an extremely demanding time. Although losing my job hurt a lot, I have to admit that Victor's departure hurts me just as much, if not more.

Prior to a disastrous second half collapse in a 5-1 home loss to Crystal Palace, Gracia had amassed 10 points from his first six games in command.

The team's next game ended in a 6-1 loss to Liverpool at Elland Road, and in five of their last seven defeats in April, they gave up 23 goals, a Premier League record for a month.

The defeat by Palace will be cited by Leeds supporters as the beginning of the end for Gracia.
