Mikael Mandron, a striker for Motherwell, will try to make up for lost time in the season finale by living in the present and putting the future out of his mind.

Mandron signed a deal with Well in January after leaving Gillingham, and in his first game at Arbroath, he hit a Scottish Cup double.

However, he was unable to play due to a thigh injury he sustained during training the following week.

With six matches under his belt, the former Sunderland, Wigan, and Crewe forward is expected to play against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

The 28-year-old said: "I am not someone who typically gets wounded, so it was incredibly distressing for me to get hurt. especially after a strong beginning.I took around six weeks to recover from my injury because I really wanted to make sure it was done correctly because I was eager to get started as soon as I arrived. While I was undergoing my rehabilitation, the staff and players helped me try to stay optimistic. I'm overjoyed to be back.I am obviously completely concentrated on these five games and trying to give everything I have for myself and the club; whatever happens in the summer will happen. We'll find out.

Kevin van Veen, who has scored nine goals in his last six games, is Mandron's favorite opponent.

He said, "It's very simple to play with him."

Kevin van Veen is one of those strikers who brings everything to the table: strength, excellent technical ability, and intelligence. On the field, we consistently strive to connect with each other and talk to try and cooperate. I have a great time playing with him.He deserves a lot of praise for his incredible season. He has scored in nearly every game and is making a significant contribution to the squad; perhaps, he can continue for the remaining five games.

His goal is to score 30 goals, which would be fantastic for both the club and him individually.

When Motherwell hosts Killie, they have the opportunity to all but guarantee their place in the top division.

They are "fighting for their lives," Mandron added, and we are "trying to get as many points as we can from the next five games."
