The first leg of Real Madrid and Manchester City's Champions League semifinal matchup at the Santiago Bernabeu is less than a week away. The outcome could determine how both parties' futures will be in the next years.

The two will compete, with the English team aiming for an unprecedented triple and Pep Guardiola seeking his first Champions League victory since leaving Barcelona in 2011.

If City advances past Real Madrid and defeats Milan or Inter, Erling Haaland would also win his first Champions League trophy. With 35 goals, Haaland has scored the most goals in the history of the Premier League, breaking records for City.

Stan Collymore has speculated on the potential consequences if Haaland wins the Champions League in his first season in England in an interview with Caught Offside.

I do worry, though, how long he'll stay at City, the ex-pro continued.

"Now that he's broken that record, how much incentive would there be for him to stay at the Etihad if Haaland and City were successful in winning the treble? - I believe very little."

Jude Bellingham, who is supposedly close to signing a deal with Real Madrid for this summer, was also mentioned in his connection.

In light of all of that and the fact that he is really close with Bellingham, as I have already stated numerous times, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he witnessed their reunion in Madrid. It would be a move that made sense for Haaland because I highly doubt he will finish his career at City and because playing for arguably the best club in the world and joining players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul, Ronaldo Nazario, Luis Figo, Sergio Ramos, Roberto Carlos, Alfredo Di Stefano, and Zinedine Zidane in the legends book is probably the only thing he is missing from his career. Watch this space, then. Haaland will sign with Real Madrid in the upcoming years.
Karim Benzema is set to remain with Los Blancos through the end of the upcoming season, when the Frenchman will be 36. At that time, it is likely that they will search for a great center-forward to replace Benzema, and from a scheduling perspective, that appears to be the most likely time for a trade to materialize.
