Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola denied he is already thinking about Real Madrid and said that retaining the Premier League is as high on his list of priorities as winning the Champions League.
The Catalan, fresh from thumping Arsenal, faces Fulham on Sunday, two weeks before facing Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
"When you are 10 or 15 points behind the leader, then maybe you prioritize the Champions League but we haven't got the time to prioritise anything," he said at a press conference.
"The Premier League is so nice, so attractive. Being the champion is right now a similar level to the Champions League.
"People ask 'Why? Because you don't have (the Champions League)?' But the Premier League is the Premier League.
"It's 11 months, it's every week, every week. My attention is on Fulham, then West Ham and then it will be Leeds.
"After Leeds, I have enough time - not much because it is Saturday-Tuesday - but of course my team will help me a bit to prepare for Madrid."He did however have time to praise his team's efforts for thrashing Arsenal 4-1 in midweek.
"We are very happy with the last game and how we played, but that's all. I know there are not 20 games left, only seven, but they are seven important games. Especially because we have Champions League games in between," said the Catalan. It's 11 months, it's every week, every week. Is Pep afraid of Real Madrid that is why he said that ?
