A Nigerian woman is going viral on the micro-blogging platform Twitter after making a joke about her daughter being a feminist. According to the woman identified by her handle as @Olori_lilian, she served her husband dinner and after her husband was done eating she decided to take his plates to the kitchen for cleaning, upon walking away with the plates, her 4-year-old daughter called her and asked her why she would take his Daddy’s plates to the kitchen while he also has hands he can use to carry them to the kitchen too.

“The people I don born a feminist ooo, My 4-year-old daughter to my husband Why is your wife taking your plate to the kitchen for you? Don’t you have your hand? “.

She further added that she, along with her husband sat her down and educated her on it, telling her that, she is supposed to do all that, but because she’s still a kid that’s why her mum is doing all that for her, with the fear that she might break one of the plates and hurt herself since it’s heavy.

“Of course, we did educate her on why I took it away instead of my husband taking it himself. My husband even told her that she’s the one supposed to carry it but she can break it but soon, she’ll be the one carrying it for him”.

Her tweet sparked a whole lot of conversations and a few of them are highlighted below;

“I understand this to be a joke, but doesn't make

her a feminist. Tell her it's what family does for family - love”.

@EmmanuelMick6ix •

“You saw an opportunity to correct an impression and quickly impact family values on your kid, you left your job & came to social media to seek validation. All ye woke generation tell her you did it because you love daddy & her daddy loves her too. Tell her that daddy helps too”.

@brownsonjohn5 •

“She wan put the fight for your small marriage run go

dey crush on one small boy for school….. Nah so

@OIA001 •

“One thing is certain for me here - The kid had heard someone in her close circle make this statement before. Either her Mum to her dad, her aunt to her husband or someone close to sha. As for me, I will ask questions!”.
