Michael Beale will consider next season during Rangers' home clinching Premiership match against Aberdeen on Sunday, but he also understands that results are still essential.

With their Scottish Cup semi-final loss to champion-elect Celtic last Saturday, the Gers' last realistic chance to win a trophy this season came to an end. Celtic will retain the title and remain on course for a domestic treble with a victory over Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday.

Beale, who succeeded Giovanni van Bronckhorst in November, will make adjustments for the visit of the hotly-favored Dons as he seizes the opportunity to plan for the future following the conclusion of his first trophyless campaign in three years.

The former QPR manager is aware that the Ibrox crowd will be anticipating the match and hoping to be appeased.

"There was a lot of drama at the end of the last two seasons," said Beale, who will be without offensive midfielder Malik Tillman, who was on loan from Bayern Munich but had to return due to a hamstring injury. Ryan Kent and Borna Barisic have also been added to the injury list.

"At the conclusion of one season, you win the league; the following season, you compete at the top of the league and win the Scottish Cup (by defeating Hearts in the final)."

But this is the outcome of the games we've already played this season. You play at Ibrox, where there are 47,000 season ticket holders who are pressing for a victory over Aberdeen.

"Pulling on the shirt is a great honour every time, and I'll be thinking about ways to help the group.

Since I've been here, we've been developing ideas for the following year. It's important to have a solid season finale while also laying the groundwork for the future. That keeps going.

"We have five games against teams nearby. They are very risky games if we are not paying attention.
