The Reds and Brighton are pursuing the Magpies aggressively.

Eddie Howe maintains that Liverpool's attempt to prevent Newcastle from finishing in the top four of the Premier League is not keeping him up at night.

The third-placed Newcastle Magpies have suffered two of their four league losses this season as a result of Jurgen Klopp's team, who have also won each of their previous five games to pull within six points.

By the time Howe's team takes the field to face Arsenal on Sunday, that deficit might have been cut to just three points if the pursuing pack had mounted a late charge, despite the Reds having played two more games.

Do I lose any sleep? the 45-year-old responded when asked about the possibility. I don't lose any sleep over it, but I am aware of how good Liverpool is. Does it surprise you that they can have a winning streak like that? No.

Other teams are present, but we aren't concentrating on them. All season, we haven't done it. We haven't given much thought to our surroundings, our squad composition, or where we are. All we can do is concentrate on ourselves, and we have only done that.

"Our upcoming schedule is challenging, but I also believe it is fantastic since every game is crucial. These are wonderful events, and we'll try to maintain our solid performance.

Newcastle is two points ahead of Manchester United in the battle for the top four with five games left after Brighton's sudden-death victory over the Red Devils on Thursday night.

The Seagulls, who are in sixth place with a game remaining, are still 10 points ahead of the Magpies, but a win over the Gunners would not only effectively kill the visitors' title chances but also move the Magpies closer to Champions League qualification.

Howe is bracing for the fight to come down to the last play, though, since his club has won eight of their last nine games.
