The 21-year-old will sign a deal with the Seagulls that runs through June 2028.
Brazilian forward Joao Pedro has joined Brighton from Watford for an undisclosed sum.
When the summer transfer window opens, the 21-year-old will sign a contract with the Seagulls that runs through June 2028.
Pedro, who joined the Hornets in January 2020 from Fluminense, has 11 goals in 35 Sky Bet Championship games this season.
The technical director of Albion, David Weir, stated on the club's website that Joao has been a long-term target of the organization and has drawn significant interest from around Europe.
He is a fantastic young prospect who is swift, technically excellent, and goal-oriented. He will be a great addition to our current forward line.
He has an excellent understanding of the Premier League and Championship and has played in more than 100 games for Watford. He has also adapted well to life in England.
Pedro was referred to as a "great player" last week by Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi.
In 109 appearances with Watford across all leagues and competitions, he netted 24 goals in total.
The transfer's price has not been made public by either club, but according to a statement from the Hornets, the initial payment and any possible add-ons were "among the very highest" ever obtained in English Football League history.
No one should be surprised that Joao Pedro is leaving us for the Premier League right now, Watford technical director Ben Manga said on the club's website.
"Supporters will see that this deal is in the best interests of all parties. This early action enables us to effectively organize the transfer window as we work to assemble a strong team for the upcoming season.
With Gross facing a fitness test ahead of Monday evening’s clash with Everton and Veltman likely to remain on the sidelines alongside Lamptey, the Ecuador international could once again be deployed in the makeshift role.
