The goal of Manchester United's summer transfer window is to acquire a new first-choice number 9, with Harry Kane of Tottenham and Victor Osimhen of Napoli at the top of their list of top targets.
United has had trouble converting chances in the Premier League this season, scoring only 49 goals in 33 games, and they squandered numerous opportunities in Thursday night's late loss to Brighton at the AMEX Stadium.

Since Weghorst's injury recovery, Martial has largely taken Weghorst's playing time, and 90min has heard that United are trying to transfer Martial at the proper time. Martial has missed 17 league games this season because of an injury, and United would like to get rid of him as they begin the second summer of a playing squad revamp.
The 27-year-old has long been coveted by Paris Saint-Germain, and it's believed United won't demand a significant transfer fee if they decide to let Martial go. However, it's unclear how much interest there will be in the player who spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla.
If Martial is sold and United decides not to buy Weghorst, they won't have many choices up front, though they can play Marcus Rashford through the middle if necessary. Under Ten Hag, Rashford has discovered his best position on the left side of the attack, and he is now having the best scoring season of his career with 29 goals in all competitions.
