West Ham United vs Manchester United result predicted by Mark Lawrenson

Mark Lawrenson, a football pundit, has predicted that West Ham United will secure a draw against Manchester United when the two teams clash on Sunday evening at the London Stadium. West Ham is currently in need of a positive result, having suffered three consecutive defeats despite a noticeable improvement in their performances prior to that. The team is currently four points away from the relegation zone, and a positive result against Manchester United would make a significant difference in their bid for safety.

Lawrenson noted that Manchester United has been playing non-stop in recent weeks, and they just lost to Brighton in the last minute of their Thursday night game. He also highlighted that Manchester United has been difficult to play against, and they have looked like a better team recently than they have all season. However, he believes that West Ham's manager, David Moyes, would be happy with a draw, and he expects him to be cautious at home. He has therefore predicted a 1-1 scoreline for the game.

West Ham suffered a recent setback when they lost at home to Liverpool due to a denied penalty in the dying minutes of the game. They also lost to Manchester City, which was somewhat expected given the latter's form this season. However, their 4-3 loss to another team was disappointing, given that they put up a decent fight. Getting back on track with a positive result at home this weekend would help steady the ship, especially as they may only need three or four more points to secure their safety.

Manchester United is also not in top form at the moment, having been knocked out of the Europa League by Sevilla and throwing away a two-goal lead against Tottenham in recent weeks. Salvaging some pride from their remaining games would at least lift morale for the end of the European run and send fans into the summer on a positive note. It would also provide less of a sour end for Moyes, who is likely to manage his last few games for West Ham
