Sporting Lisbon defeated Real SC 2-1 on Saturday in Portuguese Liga 3 thanks to another incredible goal from Fatawu Issahaku.

Sporting Lisbon promptly and effectively started the game by playing more to the right. They were so close to taking the lead.

In the opening ten minutes, Chico Lamba attempted a header and Rodrigo Ribeiro attempted a direct shot, but both attempts were stopped over the goal line.

Just before halftime, Real SC took advantage of their first opening of the first half and scored through Dino Dino Semedo.

Sporting CP made a breakthrough in the first four minutes of the second half. Tiago Ferreira converted a penalty kick for the Young Lions.


For his amazing performance on Saturday night, the Black Stars forward also received the Man of the Match award.



In the 63rd minute, Issahaku scored from outside the box to defeat the Real SC goal.



Dino Semedo gave the visitors the lead just before halftime, while Thiago Ferreira gave Sporting the equalizer right after the interval.


After six games in Liga Portugal 3, the victory maintains Sporting CP B's lead over the standings.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, a Ghanaian professional football player for Sporting CP and the Ghanaian national team, was born on March 8, 2004. He plays as an offensive midfielder or winger.


Issahaku was included in The Guardian's "Next Generation 2021" list and has been referred to be possibly the best African prospect of his age.

Issahaku began playing football in 2019 at the age of fifteen for the Tamale-based team Steadfast FC in Ghana's Zone One of the Division One League. Before the league was suspended due to the COVID-19, he quickly made a name for himself as one of the league's most talented players during his rookie season, contributing to five goals and eight himself in 13 games.
