Marcel Sabitzer, a midfielder for Manchester United, has acknowledged that as his loan at Old Trafford draws to a close, he has not yet spoken with Thomas Tuchel or Bayern Munich about his future.
As additional backup for a midfield that had recently lost Christian Eriksen to injury, Sabitzer joined United in January on a temporary contract that would last until the end of the current campaign.
Even if Eriksen has since regained fitness, the Austrian has had a respectable influence in his 17 appearances across all competitions thus far, and 90min recently reported that manager Erik ten Hag is eager to make Sabitzer's deal a permanent one.
The 29-year-old has acknowledged that he has not yet discussed the matter with his parent club.
Since they and we both have a lot going on, there hasn't been any interaction up until now, of course, according to Sabitzer, who spoke to Sky Sports Germany. Everybody is concentrating on their duties. We'll carefully examine and evaluate everything to choose its course.
Since Sabitzer left Munich in January, circumstances have shifted at Bayern. Under Julian Nagelsmann, who has since been replaced by the aforementioned Tuchel, he was unpopular. 90min is aware that his situation at the Allianz Arena is unlikely to significantly change, though.
Bayern aren't anticipated to block a permanent deal, and they'd sell for about what they paid RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021: €16 million (£14.2 million). Sabitzer is coveted by other teams, but he has made United his home and they are his first choice.
The ideal scenario for United before the upcoming season is to sell a midfielder who isn't in the team's long-term plans - Scott McTominay, who is valued at £30 million, or Fred - and purchase Sabitzer while still in net profit overall. The signing of a new starting "number eight" is another goal.
