Liverpool face summer rebuilding in the transfer market, but Jurgen Klopp's latest comments suggest it could be a tougher task than expected.
Liverpool know they're going to have a busy few months in the transfer market - and much of it is entirely their own.
Midfield is the area the Red Devils need the most strengthening this summer. Some players will leave and need to be replaced along with other necessary additions.
Jürgen Klopp faces the prospect of six members of his first team leaving this summer. Roberto Firmino and James Milner are said to have confirmed, while Naby Keïta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adrián are likely to expire, with Arthur Melo set to return to Juventus after a loan spell.
All of this means a summer of big change at Anfield. Klopp will know that he needs to bring in new players, and unfortunately the other clubs will know that too.
A host of names have been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks. Brighton's Alexis Mac Allister, Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch and Chelsea duo Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher are just some of the players believed to be on the Red Devils' radar.
