NPP can not use me to destroy NDC
Dr. Duffuor a candidate for the flagbearer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made it clear that he will not let himself be used by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to destroy the NDC. Dr. Duffuor, a former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, expressed his dissatisfaction with the NPP government's actions, which led to the collapse of his businesses.
He affirmed that he would not allow them to come between him and the NDC, the party he has supported with his resources and hard work.
During his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, he addressed NDC delegates in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency and reiterated his commitment to the NDC. He highlighted the need to restore hope and national pride in Ghanaians by putting the economy on the path to recovery and prosperity, a feat he believes the NDC has achieved before and can do again.
Dr. Duffuor submitted his nomination form at the party's headquarters in Accra on March 23, 2023, and pledged his loyalty to the NDC. He stated that his primary objective is to help the NDC return to power so they can make Ghana a better place for all.
The NPP revoked the license of uniBank, one of the businesses under Dr. Duffuor's control, during the banking sector clean-up in 2017, citing significant undercapitalization. Despite this setback, Dr. Duffuor remains resolute in his support for the NDC and maintains that he will not let himself be used by the NPP against his beloved party.
