When the Spaniard took over in October, Albion was in second-to-last place in the Championship.
Despite a 3-2 loss to Swansea on the final day of the season, which prevented West Brom from making the Sky Bet Championship play-offs, Carlos Corberan acknowledged his delight at turning around the team's season.
As play-off underdogs entering the last day of the regular season, West Brom needed to defeat Swansea while hoping for favorable outcomes elsewhere.
After Corberan took charge in October with the team second-bottom of the Championship, the Baggies ultimately finished ninth as Sunderland and Coventry secured the remaining two play-off spots.
"The target we had was difficult, to change the momentum of the season," admitted Corberan, whose team won just three of their final ten contests.
"It was quite unsettling. We moved quickly, paying attention to the opportunities, and I'm really proud of us.
"It's unfortunate that we weren't able to secure play-off positions, but the team made a lot of effort.
When the competition was down to the wire, the players never gave up hope or trying to do their best.
Regarding bolstering the squad over the summer, Corberan continued, "I do not know the constraints or the status (of the club), but I will guarantee to work since there is no time to waste in football.
The sooner we are aware of our resources and options, the better off we'll be able to field the team West Bromwich requires.
Joel Piroe's winning goal for Swansea in stoppage time—his 20th of the year—left Corberan unimpressed.
He expressed his disappointment at the lack of at least a point from the game.
"With all the things we did well, especially in the second half, I don't think we deserved to lose.
"We should avoid committing a foul that results in a free kick but a foul on (Jason) Molumby. That makes me more frustrated.
Okay Yokuslu and Semi Ajayi goals for Swansea were cancelled out by goals from Luke Cundle and Olivier Ntcham, and they placed 10th, below West Brom on goal differential.
