Florentino Perez's opinions on Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid comeback amid Saudi criticism

Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Al-Nassr has been a topic of discussion, with some suggesting that he could return to his former club, Real Madrid, if he leaves Saudi Arabia. While Madrid president Florentino Perez previously insisted that Ronaldo would one day return to the club, he laughed at the idea of a move in 2022.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid in 2018 and spent three years at Juventus before returning to his former club, Manchester United. A second spell at Madrid was also rumored last year, but Los Blancos passed on the move. Now, the veteran is at Al-Nassr, having signed a lucrative deal with the Saudi club. Despite this, he has been urged to return to Europe, with Perez's previous comments about a potential return to Real Madrid being brought up.

In 2018, Perez stated that Cristiano Ronaldo would always remain in the hearts of Real Madrid fans. He also claimed that if he saw him, he would give him a big hug, as Ronaldo was the worthy heir to Alfredo Di Stefano. Perez then added that one day, Ronaldo would return to Real Madrid. However, in 2022, Perez laughed at the idea of making a fresh bid for Ronaldo, stating that he was too old at 38 years of age.

According to reports, Madrid ignored multiple calls from Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, in 2022. Despite claiming to have received offers from European clubs, Ronaldo ultimately decided to join Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo's potential return to Real Madrid has been a topic of discussion for some time. However, it appears that Perez's stance on the matter has changed. While he once believed that Ronaldo would return to Madrid, he now seems to think that the veteran is too old to play for the club again.

It remains to be seen where Ronaldo's future lies, but it seems that a return to Real Madrid may not be on the cards. Despite this, he will always be remembered as one of the greatest players in the club's history, and his legacy will live on at the Bernabeu.
