On the penultimate day of their Championship-winning campaign, Burnley passed the 100-point mark after a convincing 3-0 victory over Cardiff by Vincent Kompany's squad.
Josh Brownhill, Scott Twine, and Ashley Barnes all scored in the victory for the team, which was their last at Turf Moor for the 33-year-old striker.
Burnley, who was demoted from the Premier League a year ago, finished their tremendously successful season on that day. They will return there with 101 points, the most in the league since Leicester won the Championship with one more in 2014.
After the final buzzer, the trophy was presented while the home crowd was jubilant under the minority ownership of former American football player JJ Watt.
It also marked the end of a fruitful period for Burnley's owners, who on Friday signed Kompany to a fresh five-year deal.
Due to the former Manchester City captain's success in reviving Burnley, Kompany has been strongly linked with a move to a number of clubs, including Chelsea.
They just suffered one loss in their final 26 league contests as they swept to promotion with seven games left to play.
After their final encounter of a season in which they only dropped three games and won 16 of their 23 league games at Turf Moor, Kompany and his players took a well-earned lap of honor.
From the moment Brownhill bizarrely gave the hosts the lead after 27 minutes by tapping the ball over the line, the outcome was never in question.
In an effort to dislodge Anass Zaroury, defender Andy Rinomhota kept the ball in play by shoving it into his territory with his hands.
Despite Cardiff's objections, that allowed Zaroury to pass the ball for Brownhill to score from close range.
The second goal scored by Burnley, which put the game beyond their control four minutes later, was also scored by the visitors, who came into the game five points above the relegation zone.
Defender Mahlon Romeo met Brownhill's cross and chested the ball into the path of Barnes, who buried a superb first-time effort.
