Paul Heckingbottom, the manager of Sheffield United, exclaimed that he "could not be any prouder" of his team after they defeated Birmingham 2-1 to earn their 28th victory of the year.

With his 13th goal of the year, Oli McBurnie gave the Premier League-bound Blades the lead in the 53rd minute. A few minutes later, James McAtee doubled the advantage by putting the ball into an empty net.

Dion Sanderson gave the Blues a late comeback, but Heckingbottom's team ultimately earned a well-deserved victory and will now follow champions Burnley back to the top flight.

Heckingbottom expressed his satisfaction with the game's quality and the outcome. It is crucial to note how well everyone has played this season, with 28 victories and 91 points.Normally when I speak with the players before a game, we discuss the competition, but today I just wanted to thank them for this season and the previous 18 months. The majority of us began our trip in November of last year, and it has taken us this long to get where we intended to be.

They will understand when I say that there have been times from a footballing perspective when I have sat on the sidelines and could not be more proud. It has been incredibly satisfying for us to play well while also intimidating sacred teams.

John Eustace, the manager of the Blues, remarked, "I think it is been a great season. It is been excellent. We were predicted to be relegated at the beginning of the season, so earning 53 points—the most in six years—is commendable.Of course there is plenty to improve upon, but the season has produced some wonderful memories.I also predicted that there would be some extremely challenging times throughout the season, which there were, but the way we pulled together and overcame them was fantastic.A remarkable accomplishment in the most competitive league in Europe is to accrue the most minutes for Under-18 players.
