Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr's league hopes suffer blow with draw
Cristiano Ronaldo did not have the best of games Monday during Al Nassr's 1-1 draw with Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League and it only got worse when he shoved a member of the opposing team's coaching staff.
Ronaldo, 38, seemed in good spirits following the match at KSU Stadium. He exchanged his jersey with an Al Khaleej player and shook the hands of others.
CR7's mood changed ehen the opponent's assistant coach approached the Portuguese star with the intention of taking a photo with him.
Ronaldo gave the rival coach a dismissing look, but he insisted on taking a picture. CR7 finally shoved him when he kept tugging at his shoulder.
Al Nassr has not released a statement regarding the incident, so it is not clear if Cristiano will be sanctioned.
Cristiano Ronaldo with Al Nassr
Since his arrival in Saudi Arabia in January this year, the five-time UEFA Champions League winner has accumulated 12 goals and two assists in 13 games.
His goal tally has not been enough to push Al Nassr past first-place Al Ittihad, who have 62 points, five more points than Ronaldo's side.
They need to win their four remaining matches, and hope that Al Ittihad earns less than half of the 12 points left at stake, to win the title.
Ronaldo and company will look to shake off this draw when they visit Al Taee Tuesday, May 16 in Week 27 of the Saudi league.
