What to watch for in Real Madrid vs. Manchester City and AC Milan vs. Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-finals
They were only a matter of seconds away from winning consecutive championships, but Madrid scored twice in the final minute before winning in extra time.
However, City now has Erling Haaland.
The other matchup is Milan and Inter, with both matches taking place at their San Siro stadium.
Milan defeated Inter in the Champions League quarterfinals and semifinals of 2003 and 2005, respectively.
What else are we to watch out for?
After making it to the last eight the previous three years, they've reached the semi-finals the last three years, losing the final to Chelsea in 2021.
But City has yet to capture the European championship.
Chelsea and Liverpool, on the other hand, have won two and one Champions Leagues, respectively, since 2011–12.
With 20 games without a loss, Pep Guardiola's team has found its groove just in time. They are now on the verge of becoming the first English team to win the Triple since 1999.
Guardiola will be hoping it goes better than Liverpool's quadruple attempt last year, which resulted in them missing out on the Premier League title and the Champions League final.
With Dixie Dean's 63 goals for Everton in 1927–28 — the all-time single-season English goalscoring record — still very much within his grasp, Haaland's 51 goals in 46 games have also been helpful.
On BBC Radio 5 Live, football writer Guillem Balague stated: "His arrival has had a tsunami effect on the rest of the team."When they have the ball long, he is a strength since he will score in crucial matches. The way Manchester City plays is impacted by the fact that he is a man for the big moments.
They have discovered solidity, according to Julien Laurens. Compared to the previous year, this team has a little bit more and is a little bit unique.
"It seems like City is trying to win the Triple Crown this year. Simply said, it feels like something is occurring.
