Carlo Ancelotti held a press conference ahead of Tuesday's Champions League game against Manchester City at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The Real Madrid coach sees their opponents as more complete than last season's side, who were knocked out by Los Blancos, but with the hallmarks of Pep Guardiola's coaching.
He admits that the biggest danger is Erling Haaland but is confident that they will be able to make their own weapons count.
"It's a complete team that plays very good football. We are working to stop a team that seems unstoppable," Ancelotti declared in his pre-match press conference.
"We'll have our chances. We're in good shape and at the same level as last season.
"What counts is motivation, enthusiasm... Winning the Copa del Rey is a bonus."
Luka Modric is expected to extend his stay in Madrid through the 2023/24 season, and the Italian confirmed the Croatian midfielder would start on Tuesday.
"He can play without a problem. He's going to play," he continued.
Manchester City's style has been criticized throughout this season, with some suggesting the presence of Erling Haaland has hindered the fluidity of the team, but the former AC Milan and Everton coach doesn't buy into that.
"It's a more complete team than last year," he concluded.
"Gabriel Jesus was very dangerous, but different to Haaland.
"Maybe now they take more advantage of the long ball, the second options, but the style is the same."
It's not to say that Real Madrid are without weapons of their own. Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes have been two of the most efficient attacking players in Europe this term, and Ancelotti hopes they can make the most of their chances against the English champions.
"They are making the most of their continuity," he added.
"Their progression is important for the future of this club, which is the case tomorrow as well. Just like Camavinga and Valverde."
