AFTER A £12 MILLION DEAL, POCHETTINO NOW HAS THE IDEAL MOUNT CHELSEA SUCCESSOR.

News from Chelsea: The Blues will be eager to solve Mauricio Pochettino's major problem area as quickly as possible.

The midfield serves as the center of most teams, but for Mauricio Pochettino, it may be the genuine epicenter of success. There is a requirement for complete buy-in and commitment to the cause, just like with the rest of his coaching identity. Although this may be the case for all elite teams, Pochettino in particular prioritizes physical demands over tactical considerations.

N'Golo Kante is one of the best midfield powerhouses out there, to go along with that. Few players can play in midfield like he can because of his special combination of skills. He has nearly unmatched relentless energy, press-breaking speed, and game-reading skills that allow him to anticipate passes and angles.

Victor Wanyama, Moussa Dembele, and Moussa Sissoko represented this at Tottenham. Three engines, box-to-box talent with quality in possession, are used to operate the game. This three allowed the players to move forward with protection, freedom, and firmness to accomplish their jobs. They were frequently functional rather than showy.

Kante is the only other obvious choice for those two jobs at Chelsea. It is a problem that must be solved. Although Enzo Fernandez plays more like Marco Verratti, it is not a problem because Verratti also had excellent success under Pochettino. The source of energy from a third source will be required.

Whether it was Pochettino's frequent use of a 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 at Spurs, Chelsea's midfield No. 8s were once a source of pride. Jorginho and Kante had dynamic companions in Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount, but they no longer have the same presence. But if Mount agrees to spend more time at SW6, he has a chance to recover from his terrible season.

Now that Mount may be leaving the club, finding a replacement is a very real requirement that may need to be addressed. But in typical Pochettino fashion, the solution might already be within. He is not the kind of manager to demand blank checks, erupt in wrath over a transfer, or be absurdly aggressive with his demands. Pochettino has a lot of tools in his shed and is resourceful, which is fortunate.
Chelsea didn't shell out almost £50 million on adolescents last summer in vain. In January, they also added more names to the list of young athletes, and now they may welcome Andrey Santos, a promising Brazilian prospect. He is one destined for the first team when he receives a visa to play in England, which seems plausible given his national team accomplishments.

He already seems like a good deal at £12 million. In addition to captaining two age divisions for the successful under-20 team, he earned his senior debut for Brazil. He is exactly the type of midfielder that Pochettino will be looking to develop because he is strong, technically skilled, and adaptable.
