Tony Cascarino has likened Brentford striker Ivan Toney to an Arsenal legend - urging several Premier League giants to sign him this summer despite his potential ban for breaching betting rules.
Toney, 27, has scored 20 league goals in 32 appearances this season and impressed with his all-action performances for Thomas Frank's side.
The Bees star has broken into the England squad and is currently the backup to Three Lions captain Harry Kane's No 9 role.
And speaking to the Times, Cascarino compared Toney to a stylish Gunners icon.
He said: 'I cannot believe Ivan Toney's improvement technically over the past 18 months. He was one of the best players at Anfield.
The Brentford striker has added all sorts of deft touches to his game, such as the clever pass that assisted Bryan Mbeumo's disallowed goal.
'He has a finesse which, dare I say it, echoes that of Dennis Bergkamp.
'Toney's subtlety complements his stature and finishing. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United should all consider a move.'
Former Ireland stalwart Cascarino then urged Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool to sign Toney in the summer transfer window.
The one-cap international played well despite his side's 1-0 loss against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, setting up Bryan Mbeumo with a classy flick before Mbeumo's goal was correctly disallowed for a tight offside.
However, Toney could be set for a ban from the FA, which may hinder his chances of a move.
In February, Mail Sport reported that Toney admitted multiple charges of breaching FA gambling rules by betting on football and is expected to start a lengthy ban before the end of the season.
Sportsmail learned the Brentford striker has pleaded guilty in response to many of the 262 charges issued by the FA last December, but is contesting others, with an FA disciplinary hearing understood to be imminent.
Gavi has a deal until 2026 with Barcelona, but if they cannot register him before July, his deal will be voided by a clause in the contract. It would leave him as a free agent. Reports in recent months have said that Chelsea have communicated their interest to Ivan de la Pena over the 18-year-old, although those reports have been disputed.
According to Sport, who reference various English sources, Alexis Mac Allister is one of Pochettino’s main targets this summer, but he is also a fan of Gavi. They go on to say he has no intention of leaving.
There are still plenty of reports regarding Barcelona bringing in players this summer, which would imply they will be able to register Gavi, Ronald Araujo and Marcos Alonso before they do so. Gavi’s renewal will take priority, and it seems highly unlikely that Pochettino will have any joy in this endeavour.
