Gary Neville has expressed concern over the Newcastle United transfer rumour, saying it will 'terrify him to death'.

With their financial backing, Newcastle could be an option - but the idea of ??Neymar plying his trade at the Premier League side has worried Neville, who claims Eddie Howe has a 'circus' in hand.

"That kind of signing would scare me," the former Manchester United defender said on his podcast. "Neymar is a great player but I think Eddie Howe will suddenly have a circus - Eddie Howe doesn't need a circus here. You think about what Newcastle is like right now, they're building, they've got the background. foundation."

Neville added:
"What you don't want to do is basically break that. The fans are really behind the team, they're behind the manager, there's a kind of mind-building.
